Real estate developer Realco has signed a contract with Staticus for the facade installation works of the Hero business centre, which is being developed in the capital's central business district. The company is scheduled to complete the works by May, 2025.

“Hero is our most ambitious real estate project. The buildings are complex in their configuration and unique in their architectural and structural solutions, so a contractor was chosen to install the facades, who has many years of experience in such works in various European countries, has successfully completed a number of large-scale projects, and is able to manage the project implementation processes”, says Julius Dovidonis, the CEO of Realco.

Staticus will install a total of 13.9 thousand square metres of elemental facade structures and 2.1 thousand square metres of prefabricated facade with structural glazing.

“We have more than 20 years of experience in facade installation in various European countries. The opportunity to contribute to the construction of the Hero project we see as a vote of confidence in us. The business centre reflects the complexity of the projects being developed in Europe as well as the strong approach to sustainability, which is also very important for our organisation and reflects the values of our company”, says Irmantas Juška, sales manager at Staticus.

The design and manufacturing phase of the facade elements will start first, with the actual installation starting in May, 2024. The design phase will include the creation of a mock-up of a real size Hero facade element. The majority of the facade elements will be manufactured using the latest generation of high-precision robotic machines.

“Massive trapezoidal finishes will be installed on the facades of the business centre, with each facade element varying in direction and shape. This will add visual play and uniqueness and will reflect the vision of Hero architects to make the building stand out with its architectural solutions”, comments J. Dovidonis.

The business centre will consist of 15 and 14 storey volumes, connected by a three-storey stylobate. Nearly 32,000 square meters of A class office space will be offered to the market, and the business centre is also planned to meet the A++ energy efficiency class. The building will include an underground parking lot with 430 parking spaces.

The project will meet the requirements for high-end offices, with a focus on maximising people's comfort and ensuring a healthy lifestyle. The business centre will aim for the international WELL certification for healthy buildings and BREEAM Excellent certification for sustainable buildings.

The Hero business centre has been designed by Cloud Architects.

Construction work is already well underway, with foundations in place and the first-floor structures going up. The business centre is expected to be completed in Q2, 2025. A total investment of 112 million euros is foreseen for its construction.
