AT THE SHORE OF VILNELĖ RIVER

Walk to the Old Town and then come back home that was built in this century. Live the modern life, but feel the closeness of the Old Town and enjoy its stories. After all, there is nothing better than spending time in the bustling Old Town and then returning to your own haven on the bank of Vilnelė River, to the home of your own era.

When we embarked on this project, we knew immediately what kind of people it would be for. We realised that the left bank of Vilnelė near Markučiai neighbourhood is a special place that will help them find the balance they need. Now you do not have to choose between the city and nature. Sometimes we may want to immerse ourselves in the hustle and bustle of the city and then come home, which is surrounded by a historic park, ponds, forest and river. It is not often that you get the chance to combine the two in the capital city.

We are certainly grateful for the exceptional location. This area is included in a major revival programme initiated by the municipal government, called the “Architecture Park” (Architektūros parkas). Its aim is to transform a disused industrial area of 78 hectares into a new part of the city centre. It is amazing to see life return to abandoned spaces with such a spontaneous force, and we are part of this creative revolution.

In developing the project Prie Vilnelės, we are working with experienced architects who speak about the place and the idea with the same enthusiasm. We want the apartments, common spaces and courtyards to be filled with the reliefs, contours and colours of the surrounding nature, so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of this unique environment. It is really easy when everything is balanced for your life rhythm.
